Instructional Designer -to work at one of our largest key accounts
in the automotive industry in Torrance, CA.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (flexible)
Pay: $33.89/hr
This position is 100% onsite in Torrance, CA

What's a typical day as an Instructional Designer?
You will write learning materials to train parts and service
dealership personnel. Your overall goal is to enable dealership
personnel to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in an
engaging and effective way to promote brand satisfaction and
loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing existing curriculum to identify gaps and improvement
opportunities Writing instructional training materials for
self-study and instructor-led deliverables
Writing narration scripts and determining on-screen visuals
Writing engaging and effective learning assessments and
activities
Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and review
course content
Collaborating with and supporting learning developers to successful
training deliverable completion Maintaining an organized set of
project documents and files
Working with technical staff to troubleshoot problems if reported
by users
This job might be an outstanding fit if you meet these skills:
Writing effective copy, instructional text, audio and video
scripts
Visualizing instructional graphics, user interface, and finalized
output
Operating in a dynamic team environment and being flexible with
change
Communicating effectively, attention to detail, accuracy, and
thoroughness
Ability to effectively convey semi-technical information to
non-technical personnel
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and
meet deadlines
Knowledge & Experience
Three or more years of experience working in instructional
design
Foundational knowledge of adult leaming theories and instructional
design methods
Two or more years using Articulate Storyline to develop online
training (preferred)
Direct experience with or knowledge of dealership retail operations
(preferred)
Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems from a customer level
understanding (preferred)
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
