MFG Technician 2 Location: Sylmar, CA Job : 70791 Pay rate: $35/hr Duration: 6 months Summary The Manufacturing. Associate 2 is the intermediate level position of manufacturing; has more experience than a Mfg. Associate 1; is able to work on mid-level complex tasks and understand general manufacturing processes. This position will work first shift from 7:00pm - 3:30pm. Position Duties Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: Locates and positions parts to be processed, by following blue prints and Standard Work Instructions. Works at station as member of manufacturing group producing one or more specific parts to meet production requirements. Locates and positions parts in specific areas and secures them in place. May solders parts by following schematic, blueprint, and Standard Work Instructions to produce increasingly more complex parts. Verifies dimensions or appearance of part after process using basic measuring tools and gauges. Ability to dimensional aspects with related test fixture. Performs related duties, which may be assigned, from one area task to another at area supervisor's requirements. Qualifications Soldering Blue print and/or schematic reading Finger dexterity manipulating small parts Hand-eye coordination Ability to verify process of part per final blueprint Effective communication skills in English with the ability to read, speak, and understand English. Education High school education or general education degree (GED), A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work environment and Safety Equipment Requirement The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. Safety glasses, shop coat/apron, proper shoes.
