Job Description:
Part-time Description Under the direction of the General Manager
(GM) and management team, the Host works as part of the service
team to ensure that each guest that orders from Pizza Nova receive
outstanding service and have a great experience. Employees will
execute the key tasks to ensure that guests to the restaurant are
greeted, take/confirm reservations, and will help their teammates
in other assignments as needed. Successful employees place a
priority on providing great customer service, are proactive in
carrying out duties to Pizza Nova standards and are team players.
Essential Duties The Host’s primary objective is to act as the
first point of contact to welcome guest to the restaurant, manage
reservations, handle general inquiries, and contribute to an
outstanding guest experience that is up to company standards.
Acknowledge ALL guests entering and exiting the restaurant with
genuine greetings, salutations, and thank you’ s. Answer phones
following proper company procedures. Answer questions and general
inquiries. Route calls to management and/or take messages as
appropriate. Take and manage restaurant reservations using company
POS and booking system. Be aware of large parties and events
talking place and help to direct guests accordingly. Seat guests at
tables, provide menus, and alert the service team to the new table.
Track restaurant capacity and table availability to determine
desirable seating cadence and provide estimate wait times to
guests. Alert management if issues arise with table availability or
is reservation times are not being met. Ensure the host stand and
restaurant entry are clean and presentable at all times. Assist
service team with bussing and setting tables to help ensure
availability for new guests. Ensure menus are current, clean, and
presentable. Assist with other side work and tasks as needed:
stocking the host stand and service areas, setting tables,
cleaning, etc. All employees are expected to follow proper cleaning
and handwashing standards. Additional duties and projects, such as
deep cleaning tasks, will be assigned as needed. Requirements
Possess a service-oriented mindset: outstanding customer service
skills, effective interpersonal skills, and have a desire to help
others. Previous experience in the hospitality and service industry
is a plus. Clear and effective communication skills, both written
and verbal. Ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and ensure
timely task completion in a busy, fast paced, and often changing
environment. Be willing and able to help the team to support the
delivery of a top-notch guest experience. Possess and maintain all
appropriate certifications (i.e. Food Handlers Card, LEAD Training,
etc.). Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must for
this position. Working Environment The primary working environment
is a busy restaurant setting. Employees in this environment will be
exposed to many types of hazards including but not limited to heavy
objects, cooking equipment, wet surfaces, hot surfaces, and crowded
spaces. Employees working in hazardous areas are required to comply
with all applicable safety provisions. Additional Information This
is a part-time, hourly position. A current Food Handler Card is
required for all staff . If one is not available upon hire, the
employee will be given 30 days to secure and present the card.

9pm daily. Wage: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour. Position is tip
eligible. Salary Description Min Wage up to $17.00 per hour; Tip
