Job Description:
Position Information The Staff Psychologist provides direct
clinical psychological service to the UCR students and in support
of the campus community. The primary responsibility of this
position is to provide individual, couples, and group therapy to
UCR students and prioritizes working with students from
marginalized communities, including Black/African American, Latinx,
Undocumented, Indigenous/First Nations, Asian American/Pacific
Islander, Multi-racial, and other students of color. This position
provides crisis intervention services; consults with students,
staff, and faculty; may serve as a supervisor for our
APA-accredited internship program;Waiting for Prob and serves on
University committees, representing the CAPS department. The Staff
Psychologist may also serve as a liaison and provide outreach to
various campus communities. A successful applicant will exemplify
excellence in clinical skills and demonstrate commitment to
diversity and inclusion with a deep commitment to supporting
underrepresented groups in our community from a trauma-informed

interview process. The salary range for the Staff Psychologist is
$95,648.12 - $139,571.19 annually. However, the expected pay scale
for this position is up to $114,387.64 annually. We base salary
offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure
and certifications, experience, and other business and
organizational needs. Applicants must have current work
authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we
are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment
Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to
comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective
bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
Federal, state, or local government directives may impose
additional requirements. Education Education Requirements Doctorate
degree (Ph.D/Psy.D) in Clinical Psychology or related Psychology
discipline (Required) License Requirements Current, valid license
to practice Psychology in California (or ability to gain licensure
in CA prior to beginning work at UCR). Must maintain CA licensure
through the Board of Psychology and maintain UCOP
credentialing/privileging standards. (Required) Educational
Condition Requirements Maintenance of appropriate continuing
education and specifically supervision continuing education
required of supervisors of interns. (Required) Focused study on
Diversity and Inclusion and particularly work with underrepresented
communities. (Preferred) Experience Requirements Minimum 4-7 years
of clinical experience (Required) Credentialing Requirement: A
minimum of one year with current employer (Required) 7 years of
clinical experience (Preferred) Experience working in a university
setting (Preferred) Minimum Requirements Demonstrated ability to
perform trauma informed therapeutic services. Ability to work in a
highly collaborative manner with diverse client group, members of
the university staff and faculty. Knowledge of electronic/medical
records systems. Thorough knowledge of working with diverse
populations including but not limited to African American, Asian
American, Latino/Latina, international, first-generation, veterans,
students with disabilities, and LGBTQ. Understanding of
intersectionality and how it impacts the daily lives of students.
Ability to conduct complex analysis and develop and present
recommendations and course of treatment. Demonstrated ability to
effectively use interpersonal skills while representing the
department on campus and to external units Thorough skills
associated with conducting complex diagnosis, problem-solving and
critical-thinking Highly effective written and verbal communication
and interpersonal skills. Additional Information In the Heart of
