Job Description:
The Director of Construction will oversee all phases of
construction for multiple single family and multifamily projects,
managing the entire process from pre-construction to final
completion. The Director will work closely with senior management,
architects, designers, contractors, and external partners to ensure
that every detail meets the standards of excellence that define
their brand. Client Details My client are a fast-growing
design-forward boutique developer based in Silverlake, Los Angeles,
committed to reimagining living. Their mission is to create
innovative, sustainable housing that blends architectural
excellence with community-minded urban living. Each of their
projects is thoughtfully designed to contribute to a more liveable,
inclusive, and resilient Los Angeles. Description Lead and manage
the construction process for multiple multifamily and single family
projects, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery. Oversee all
pre-construction activities, including planning, budgeting,
bidding, and scheduling. Collaborate with internal and external
stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Ensure that all construction activities adhere to design
specifications, quality standards, and brand requirements. Monitor
and control construction budgets, change orders, and cost forecasts
to ensure financial objectives are met. Manage relationships with
subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure optimal
project execution. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress,
resolve issues, and maintain quality control. Ensure compliance
with all regulatory and safety requirements across all construction
projects. Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team,
fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure that the aesthetic and
functional aspects of the project are achieved. Report regularly to
senior leadership on project progress, risks, and any necessary
changes. Profile Multiple years of experience in construction
management, with a strong focus on single family projects,
Advantageous to have experience in mid-market multifamily projects.
Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple single
family projects. In-depth knowledge of construction processes,
building codes, and safety regulations. Bachelor's degree in
Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related
field. (Preferred but not essential) Strong financial acumen and
experience managing budgets and cost controls. Excellent
leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g.,
Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project). Job Offer $125,000-$175,000
