Assistant - Election 2026 Department: CMO - City Clerk Salary:
$22.26 - $25.77 Non-Exempt – Overtime Eligible Position Duration:
This assignment is expected to run from March 2026 through the end
of April 2026 , based on operational needs related to the election
cycle. Employment will automatically end at the conclusion of the
assignment, and no ongoing or permanent position is implied. Job
Summary: Under general supervision, assist office staff by
performing clerical duties. Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Answer and
route incoming election-related phones calls and other
communications. Maintain filing systems and accurately record
information as required. Greet voters and provide assistance
regarding election-related questions or concerns. Update paperwork,
maintain records, and perform basic word processing tasks. Assist
with organizing and maintaining office common areas where ballots
are processed. Perform ballot pickups at designated locations
throughout the city. Sort, log, and distribute incoming
election-related mail . Collect, stamp, and prepare outgoing mail.
Verify voter information on ballots, including signature review.
Assist with processing ballots throughout the day, with increased
support on Election Day. Respond to voter inquiries in person and
by phone. Performs other related duties as assigned. The duties

also perform other related duties as assigned by their immediate
supervisor. This position is considered non-exempt. Required
