Los Angeles(Physician/MD qualifications required) Medical Director - The Healthcare Center is one of Los Angeles' larger community-based health centers. Located in the San Fernando Valley with a stellar 49-year reputation, we provided over 100,000 medical visits last year and are looking to expand. Core programs include primary care, pediatrics, adolescent teen clinic, dental, optometry and mental and behavioral health. The organization participates in state and local disease collaboratives, and QI programs.We are seeking an Assistant Medical Director to work in our clinic. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.AdministrativeQuality Assurance, peer review, and maintain confidentialityQuality improvement, chart audits, and process improvement programs both system-wide and cluster-specificCluster specific meetings and administrative task as assigned by the Medical DirectorHelps in the recording of no-show visits and lab results-refillsCollaborate with marketing and other health education staff on education and patient recruitment health fairsMaintain current knowledge-base and appropriate licensureMaintain productivity per VCH standardEnsure compliance with license requirements as stated in Title 22Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned70% Clinical and 30% Administrative task for a 5 day work week. The average total number of patients per year is 2000 patients.The new assistant medical director will rotate in 2 clinics but never on the same day. Each clinic does have three physicians and several mid-level providers. He-She will report to the Medical Director.Salary is highly competitive depending on the level of experience and qualifications.
